Dual Retrieval System

The retrieval process for recovering underground loaders from rock falls or for general breakdown purposes was a high risk hazard to the safety of personnel and equipment and was taking too long. Any re-design of the retrieval process had to allow for the use of both Cat and Sandvik equipment.

A quick fit Dual Retrieval System was designed and built, incorporating both a ring lock and hook. During operation a camera is mounted on the Dual Retrieval System to eliminate the use of personnel within the danger area.

The system has also facilitated a faster retrieval.
