Paste Fill Wall Kits for Underground Mines

Goldmont Engineering supplies the following wall kits for underground mines:

• Curved wall kits for underground paste fill; and
• Straight (vent) wall kits for false walls and underground paste fill.

Curved wall kits for underground paste fill

Curved (radius), backfill wall kits are used as false underground pillars to allow backfilling of stopes with bulk paste mix of shotcrete or fibrecrete. The wall kits are designed for quick and easy installation and are available in a variety of sizes to suit your nominal drive size.

The height for each sized wall kit can be increased by 1.0m, and the width increased by 2.0m as indicated in the sketch and accompanying table.

We also supply custom designed wall kits if your drive sizes require wall kit dimensions beyond what is shown in the table.

Domestic transport and overseas shipping

Goldmont curved, paste fill wall kits are supplied cost effectively across Australia and the world. The wall kits are transported in custom built frames designed to minimise the required space when loaded onto trucks or into sea containers.

Weight and space dimensions for transport will depend on the order. As an example, the frame in the picture is 1.6m wide x 1.2m high and length of the longest item is 5.0m. There are 20 wall kits in the frame and the weight of frame plus wall kits is 2,200kg.

The transport frames are designed to be handled by a forklift with the required lifting capacity.

Straight (vent) wall kits for false walls and underground paste fill

Straight wall kits are also used for paste backfill as well as frames for false walls to hold a variety of items used in underground mining. Examples are drop board regulators to regulate air flow in an underground mine ventilation system and personnel access doors.

Goldmont’s straight wall kits are available in a variety of sizes to suit your requirements. They are designed for quick and easy installation and can be bolted together when placed side by side to construct the required size.

The height for each sized wall kit can be increased by 1.0m, and the width increased by 2.0m as indicated in the sketch and accompanying table.

We can supply custom designed straight wall kits if our standard straight wall kits do not suit your needs.

Goldmont will also supply other ventilation equipment including drop board regulators and personnel access doors.
